As part of our on-going commitment to geocoding excellence, every year we run a year end process to regeocode all addresses submitted throughout the year in order to obtain the highest precision level possible for every address before the official submission. In a nutshell, we regeocode all addresses submitted and then compare the results to see if the geocode was improved due to address updates in our geocoding process. Typically, customers can see anywhere from .05% to 3% improvement to the overall file precision of a submission file. Typcally you will be updating with a file thay could be 1-5% of your submission volume.
For those of you that use Auto-Update to send and receive geocode files, you should get this file back automatically today or tomorrow. If you don't receive it or you do not use Auto-Update, you can retrieve the file from our support site and then apply as you normally do. These files can be identified by the week 70 naming scheme. They should be B????970.ZIP where ???? is your client ID.
